Get Involved

TSC is home to many student clubs and organizations that provide students the opportunity to get involved on campus.

If you don’t see a club or organization you’re interested in joining, you can start your own. Contact the Office of Student Life for information. The organization registration deadline is October 1 for the Fall and February 1 for the Spring.

*Membership and participation in approved TSC student clubs, organizations, and academic teams is open to all currently enrolled students who have paid the Student Activity and Service Fee for the current semester in which the student is a member or requests to become a member of the student organization.

Big Sister Little Sister

Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program (BSLS) is a nonprofit organization with the mission of impacting women, youth, and communities. Through a wide range of programs that are designed to educate and empower, we strive to make a positive and long-lasting contribution to K - 12 and on campuses nationwide.

Code Busters

Code Busters is a club for anyone interested in learning code languages and creating programs such as webpages, games, simple programs, and more. This club aims to expose students to coding and show it can be easy and fun.

Creative Writing Club

The Creative Writing Club is a supportive community for students interested in writing, reading, and reflecting. Meetings include sharing new work, responding to creative prompts, and participating in writing-inspired events and activities.

Curtain Call

Curtain Call works with the theatre director and technical director in the growth and mission of Theatre TSC!

Participants can gain experience with onstage performance or technical aspects, including costuming, props, lighting, and many more.

Engineering Club

The Engineering Club promotes engagement, education, and advisement for STEM students and students considering careers in STEM-related fields. Academic activities include engineering design contests, research experience with TSC faculty and staff members, help sessions and study advice, and a community atmosphere to best prepare students for their upcoming STEM endeavors.

Ratio Christi @ TSC

TSC3D exists to help students learn 3D printing skills. We maintain the 3D printers in the STEM center and help students print whatever they want. We provide access to consumable materials and host creative learning events to develop an understanding of 3D printing.

Ratio Christi (Latin for ‘The Reason of Christ’) is a global movement that equips university students and faculty to give historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ. Bringing together faith and reason to establish the intellectual voice of Christ in the University, Ratio Christi is planting student and faculty-led apologetics clubs at universities worldwide.

Turning Point USA

TSC Online Student Alliance (T.O.S.A.) offers students who are enrolled at TSC but cannot participate in clubs in person, an opportunity to feel a part of the college/campus experience as distance learners. T.O.S.A. has provided an online social network for the online student population.

Black Male Achievers

Black Male Achievers

The BMA program provides mentoring, academic advising, and academic and professional skill development via workshops and guest speakers all with the objective of helping our student members accomplish their goals of earning an associate’s degree, transferring to a university, and/or entering the workforce. Each member is expected to attend weekly workshops or guest speaker activities and actively participate in community service opportunities. Those students who meet those and other requirements are eligible to apply for a Strides scholarship that requires participants to conduct research on a topic and present that research in some capacity (e.g., student symposium, social media platform, etc.).

Brain Bowl

Brain Bowl players buzz in to questions about Math, Science, Literature, History, Geography, Humanities, and Social Sciences and compete against other community college teams.  Participants have fun while strengthening their general knowledge and oral communication skills.

Dance Company

TCC Dance Company

Join the team for an opportunity to work with choreographers, teachers, and guest artists on a variety of techniques and performances. Dancers travel to performances and gain recognition as a dance troupe at various competitions throughout the year.

Forensics Speech & Debate

Forensics, better known as Speech and Debate, is the study of oral interpretation (acting), public address, limited preparation speech and debate. TSC Forensics classes and the competition team supply many opportunities to apply speaking, debating and acting skills in competition against other college and university squads.

Hispanic Alliance for Talented Students

Hispanic Alliance for Talented Students (H.A.T.S.)

This organization promotes intercultural understanding and empowerment for Hispanic students. A new cohort of Hispanic students is selected each academic year term and encourages students from the Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, or surrounding counties (within the state of Florida) to join. These students will matriculate at TSC together as they are placed in similar courses and activities that engage them in career building and goal-setting enrichment sessions.

Model United Nations

It is the purpose of this student lead organization to facilitate a better understanding of international decision-making.  Through participation in regional and international conferences, where they debate issues from the perspective of their chosen country, such as human rights, military conflicts, and international economics, students benefit from a greater awareness of international issues. This heightened awareness, along with a better understanding of the perspective of other nations in the world, also facilitates greater academic capabilities because of the necessary preparation.

National Society for Leadership and Success at Tallahassee State College

The NSLS is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at Tallahassee State College was started in 2020. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with 700+ chapters and over 1.4 million members.
