The Testing Center is committed to providing excellent customer service to our students, faculty, and community while ensuring the integrity of testing in a secure environment. ACCUPLACER Next-Generation
Students who need to take an assessment test for academic advisement but live outside the State of Florida may make arrangements with the Testing Center to have the ACCUPLACER Next-Generation assessment sent to a local proctor. The ACCUPLACER Next-Generation consists of the following academic subjects; English, Reading, and Math. Students may schedule an alternative testing location by calling (850) 201-8282.
- ACCUPLACER Next-Generation can be administered remotely by appointment. TSC uses the ACCUPLACER to test advanced math skills for students seeking to bypass College Algebra, in an attempt to enroll in high-function math courses. Please contact the Testing Center at testingcenter@tsc.fl.edu if you believe you are in need of this service.

Post-Secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT)
The Post-Secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is a computerized adaptive assessment that is used to determine the mastery level of students in the academic areas of reading, writing, and mathematics.
- The PERT is administered on an appointment basis Monday through Friday. The PERT is an untimed assessment, but please allow a minimum of three hours for testing if you plan on taking all subjects: reading, writing, and mathematics.
- The PERT is offered Monday through Friday on an appointment basis. Monday through Friday examinees may make an appointment between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to begin testing.
- If an examinee is not satisfied with their PERT results they may retake the PERT after 14 days.
- The PERT exam is currently offered on Monday through Friday by appointment at the following times; 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. The PERT exam is also available for remote testing opportunities, for that outside of the tri-county area. Please contact the Testing Center at testingcenter@tsc.fl.edu to receive information on how to take the PERT remotely.

Testing for Adult Basic Education (TABE)
Adult Education Students must take the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) before starting class. This test helps us understand your beginning level, so you can be registered for the correct classes.
- The TABE is offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. on an appointment basis.
- The three parts of the TABE are Reading Comprehension, Language Arts, and Math.
- To access resources to help you study for the TABE test. Please check with Adult Education Development in Workforce Development building 38.
Fees:
- TSC applicant: $25
- Applicant for other institutions: $25
- This fee will cover two attempts at each section of the TABE test. All fees may be paid at the Testing Center, FPAC224. All payments at this time will be card only.

Pearson Vue
Tallahassee State College offers Pearson Vue testing services. Appointments for Pearson Vue assessments will need to be made with the assessment sponsor or with Pearson Vue directly and may be administered at our location.
- Assessments can be registered for at: Pearson Vue
- Examples of assessments are: GED, Cisco Technologies, CompTia, Basic Abilities Test, National Strength and Conditioning, Childcare Accreditation, and Pharmacy Technician.
- This service will not be available during holidays and college closures.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
CLEP tests are timed academic assessments offered by College Board and proctored at Tallahassee State College. CLEP tests offer course completion credit, for general education courses used to complete a college degree. Examinees will be tested on the materials that are covered in those courses.
- CLEP exams are currently offered on Monday by appointment at the following times: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.
- Students may earn credit in subjects such as College Algebra, College Composition, American History, Biology, and Foreign Languages. Please look here for the full list of TSC Credit By Exam.
- CLEP tests will be offered at Tallahassee State College on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fine and Performing Arts building, room 211.
- CLEP tests can be registered for at https://clep.collegeboard.org/.

- Sitting fee per attempt of an assessment: $10
- Payment to College Board CLEP program can be made at clep.collegeboard.org: $89
- DANTES-funded military and military-approved candidates (first attempt): No Fee

Florida Civic Literacy Exam
In accordance with Florida Statue 1007.25 and Florida Administrative Code, Rule 6A-10.02413, Tallahassee State College will be offering the Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE) for completion of an Associate of Arts Degree or Associate of Science Degree.
*Please note: The FCLE will be unable during the week of July 29 through August 2 due to server maintenance.
PASSING SCORE is 60% to meet requirement.
- Weekly testing for the Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE) will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (face-to-face) and Tuesdays and Fridays (remote) by appointment.
- Appointments will be scheduled for a one-hour window though examinees may take as much time as needed.
- In-person testing blocks for Tuesdays-Thursday will be 9 a.m.,10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.
- Remote testing blocks will be 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The FCLE will consist of questions from four main subjects:
- American Democracy
- The U.S. Constitution
- The Founding Documents
- Landmark Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Actions

FCLE Exam Sign UpNursing Program Admissions Test (HESI-A2)
The HESI-A2 Admission Test is the required entrance assessment for all students applying to certain Healthcare Programs at TSC. To be considered for admission, the TSC programs require a minimum score of 75 percent in each required section of the assessment.
- The HESI test is currently offered Monday through Friday by appointment at the following times: 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Students may take the HESI-A2 on an appointment basis; testing is available Monday through Friday at either 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.

What is a Proctored Assessment?
A proctored assessment is an assessment that is taken under supervision. Certification sponsors, colleges, and universities have as a component, assessments which need to be proctored. This ensures fairness and an equitable measure of performance for students or certification candidates and mastery of the subject material without compromising assessment integrity.
- Assessment services provided for other institution course exams (fees are per course): $25
- Assessment services provided for other institutions or companies; entrance or employment assessments: $25
- Note: It is imperative that students from other institutions wishing to use the Testing Center as a proctoring site set up their proctor arrangements within the first two weeks of the course(s) start date(s). The Testing Center cannot make last-minute proctor arrangements.
Accommodated Testing Services
If you are registered with TSC's Student Accessibility Services, you are eligible to take your advisement assessment and course assessments in the Accommodated Testing Center, located in the Fine & Performing Arts Building, 2nd floor, Room 219. All course assessments require a minimum of 48 hrs (2 business days) notice prior to the test date for administration. Please refer to your SAS contract.

Web-Based Instruction Course Exams
Web courses are taken online, however, course assessments may be required to be proctored. Check with faculty or your advisor prior to registering to determine if your assessment(s) must be proctored. This service is not offered at the Testing Center.
What You Should Know Before Your Assessment:
- Proctored assessments will be taken through HonorLock.
- All students should have a web camera and microphone for their computers.
- Students will be recorded throughout their assessment and the recording will be submitted to their faculty member.
