BSN courses are offered online, allowing students to move through the program at a pace determined by the student. Candidates must receive their BSN within four years of beginning the core nursing courses (NURXXXX). Courses are offered through the Division of Healthcare Professions at the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education (GCHE).

Nursing (R.N.), A.S.
Students who earn an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree in nursing can move directly into today's workforce or continue their education. You’ll grow personally as you help meet the needs of those you care for, their families, and your community. Whether you work in a hospital, clinic, doctor’s office, or patient’s home, the demand for nurses is expected to grow enormously.
If you finish the Associate Degree in Nursing program, you may be able to take the NCLEX-RN exam in Florida. You can also apply for a multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), which lets you work in Florida and 27 other states. A list of current compact states can be located on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing website.
If you live outside Florida or a compact state, TSC can’t guarantee that this program meets your state’s nursing license rules. The ASN program is nationally accredited, so it likely meets most state requirements. But some states may ask for more than what the program includes.
If you plan to take the NCLEX-RN in a non-compact state, contact that state’s board of nursing to make sure this degree will qualify you for a license.
Admission Pre-Requisites
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and meet all admission requirements of the College.
- Students are admitted using a point system, students with the highest number of points will be offered admission. These students must accept by official TSC e-mail and must complete all admission requirements for finalized admission. Students who are not admitted may go to the Website and submit a new nursing application for a future semester. There is no waiting list.

Simulation Center
Welcome to the Simulation Center.
Our simulation center is comprised of two wings and is located on the second (main) floor of the Ghazvini Center for Healthcare Education. These state-of-the-art facilities are used for training future and current healthcare professionals.
There is a total of twelve simulation rooms, seven control rooms, two HeartCode® rooms, and six debriefing rooms. The simulation suites are designed as hospital rooms and provide real-life simulated experiences for the students in the Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Respiratory Care, and Dental Health programs. Each hospital room is equipped with the latest generation of Gaumard, CAE, or Laerdal Patient Simulators. Each manikin is unique and presents different features for training our students on specific skills.
There are 28 adult, two pediatric, three infant, and one maternal simulators. These simulators allow staff to present different scenarios to students to practice caring for patients with various health conditions in a safe zone to improve patient safety and prepare students to provide care in clinical settings.
In addition to the patient simulators, four complete HeartCode® systems allow students to obtain BLS and ACLS certification for healthcare providers.
*If you have any questions or would like to reserve the Simulation Center, please contact Sheila Chapel.
Benefits of Simulation:
- Orients students to new equipment/procedures
- Promotes critical thinking without the potential for patient harm
- Enhances technical skills without risks to patients
