Home Education Students

Length of Dual Enrollment

  • Max of 3 semesters per grade level.
  • Students may enroll in Fall (mail), Spring (main), or any Summer session.
  • No more than 6 semesters total may be taken for home education students.

Max Course Loads

  • 11 credit hours max for traditional dual enrolled
  • 12-15 credit hours for Early Admit Seniors
  • Must have permission each semester for early admissions.

Continued Eligibility

  • Max age for participation in dual enrollment is 19 years and 6 months or 6 months of dual enrollment, whichever comes first.
  • Students must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA in all TSC courses.
  • Students must maintain a 75% course completion rate.
  • One-semester only grace period is given for students who fall below eligibility standards.

Getting Started

These are the forms required to get started with Dual Enrollment, along with applying to TSC.

*Please review the county verification form prior to submitting to ensure it is complete. The grade level the student is commensurate with as well as the equivalent cohort graduation date must be listed. The Home education official (parent/guardian) must also sign and date this form.

Home Education students who have been awarded PEP can substitute a PEP award letter for the county verification form as proof of home education enrollment.

Registration or Course Adjustment

Program Completion

  • Graduating seniors are not eligible for dual enrollment once they complete high school studies/home education program.
  • Graduating seniors enrolled in summer courses will be degree-seeking college students responsible for all instructional materials, tuition, and fees assessed.
