At TSC, we believe in the power of service. Our student volunteer program is your gateway to community impact, personal growth, and real-world experience. Whether you're giving back locally or supporting events on campus, your time and effort help build a stronger community.

The TSC Volunteer Program connects students with meaningful service experiences that benefit both the campus and the greater Tallahassee community.

Our Goals:

• Promote student engagement through service
• Foster leadership, accountability, and teamwork
• Provide Bright Futures and service-learning hour opportunities
• Build relationships between students and community partners

Who Can Volunteer? All currently enrolled TSC students in good standing are eligible to participate. Opportunities are available year-round, and you can choose how and when you serve

Campus Opportunities

• Welcome Week and Orientation
• StuFac
• TSC Student Government and Events
• Food drives and student wellness events
• Peer mentoring and tutoring

Community Partnerships

• Habitat for Humanity
• Brehon Family Services
• Local food banks and shelters
• Voter registration and civic engagement drives

Virtual/Remote

• Online tutoring or content creation
• Social media campaigns for nonprofit

You can explore approved partners or suggest your own, as long as they align with the program’s guidelines.

How to Apply

Ready to Make an Impact? Here’s How to Start:

1. Complete the Volunteer Interest Form
2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation (in-person or virtual)
   • Learn expectations, service hour rules, and how to log your hours.
3. Choose Your Opportunity
   • Select from our current listings or get pre-approval for an external opportunity.
4. Start Serving
   • Track your hours online. We'll help you document everything for Bright Futures, scholarships, and resumes.

Some placements may require background checks or proof of training (we'll let you know ahead of time).

Service Learning

Service Learning is where your coursework meets real-world impact.

Some classes at TSC may offer service-learning components, allowing you to earn credit while volunteering with approved organizations related to your field of study.
