Downtown Tallahassee will come alive with science, creativity, and innovation on Saturday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as Tallahassee State College (TSC) hosts the 14th Annual Tallahassee Science Festival at Kleman Plaza.
This free community event invites curious minds of all ages to experience the excitement of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through interactive learning activities, hands-on demonstrations, and educational exhibits that bring discovery to life.
This year’s festival will feature more than 80 exhibitors from across the Big Bend region, offering a wide range of engaging STEM experiences, including robots and drones, telescopes, and marine life. The event highlights the innovative work of local organizations, schools, and universities, including Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Florida State University, Keiser University, Tallahassee Collegiate Academy, Tallahassee State College, and the University of Florida, along with community partners such as the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, Tally Robotics, the National Weather Service, and many more.
“The Tallahassee Science Festival is a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and innovation,” said Dr. Anthony Jones, Dean of Library Services and Learning Commons, and Director of the Tallahassee Science Festival. “Each year, we see families, students, and community members come together to explore how science shapes our world. It’s an incredible opportunity to inspire the next generation of thinkers and problem solvers.”
This year’s festival is made possible by the support of our co-presenting sponsor, Trulight LLC, along with other community sponsors, including the TSC Foundation, City of Tallahassee, Challenger Learning Center, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Best Day Ever Rentals, Florida Virtual School, and ClothesLine.
Founded in 2012 by Elaine and Bill Grace, the Tallahassee Science Festival is a proud member of the Science Festival Alliance and continues its tradition of fostering a love for science in the heart of Florida.
