Tallahassee State College (TSC) will host the fifth annual Tallahassee History Festival (THF) on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the TSC Intramural Fields.
This free, family-friendly event transforms local history into a hands-on adventure, with interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and immersive activities for all ages.
Attendees can explore everything from archaeological discoveries to cultural traditions, guided by organizations such as the Florida Historic Capitol Museum, the Tallahassee African American Genealogical Society, the Apalachicola History Society, and many others.
Timed with the nation’s 250-year anniversary celebration, this year’s festival connects Tallahassee’s unique stories to the American experience, showing how local voices have helped shape the country’s past and present.
“As we celebrate 250 years of America, we’re giving the community a chance to see how Tallahassee’s stories fit into the larger American journey,” said Philip Hazard, the THF Director. “It’s educational, engaging, and something the community doesn’t want to miss.”
Beyond the exhibits, the festival shines a spotlight on historians, cultural leaders, and community members working to preserve the region’s heritage, offering guests a chance to connect, learn, and get involved.
Admission to this year’s THF is free and open to the public.
