Undergraduate Research
In this section:Securing a faculty research mentor is the first step in any undergraduate research project. Mentors help students explore the academic literature, formulate research questions, explore appropriate methods, techniques, and procedures, and assist with a range of other tasks necessary to successfully complete a research project.
Many faculty mentors also have ongoing research projects that students can join. We recommend students first request that current and past TSC professors serve as their research mentors. The Undergraduate Research Program can also assist students in locating a research mentor.
For assistance in locating a research mentor, students should complete the Undergraduate Research Program’s interest form. Please indicate that you need assistance locating a mentor when completing the form.
