Agriculture Associate (CWE)
Learn the basics of agricultural science, including safety, science and technical skills, environmental science, food safety, and plant and animal care. You'll also explore how these topics apply to farming, food, and natural resources.
Agritechnology Specialist (CWE)
Learn about caring for the environment, how plants grow and reproduce, and how to manage animals and livestock. You’ll also study basic mechanics and business skills, all focused on farming, food, and natural resources.
Natural Resources Specialist (CWE)
Learn how to manage, protect, and improve natural areas like soil, water, air, wildlife, wetlands, forests, and farm ecosystems.
Landscape and Turf Management (CTC)
This program prepares students for careers in Florida’s landscaping and groundskeeping industry. This hands-on program focuses on landscape design, turfgrass management, pest and disease control, irrigation systems, and sustainable practices. Students also gain foundational knowledge in business management and entrepreneurship through Grassroots Success. Students will have an opportunity to sit for certifications as a Certified Horticulture Professional and Certified Landscape Technician.
Program Length: 900 Clock Hours (combination of lecture/skills labs)

Urban Farming and Entrepreneurship Training (CWE)
In this 12-week course, participants will learn how to start and operate a small-farm business. Instruction will include online classes paired with hands-on demonstrations and learning opportunities.
Coursework covers growing methods, crop management, marketing, business financing, sustainability, and more. Live instruction will take place at local urban/small farms and at the Wakulla Environmental Institute for hands-on training. Virtual coursework (entrepreneurship training) will be conducted via ZOOM.

Veterinary Assisting (CTC)
This program prepares students with essential animal care knowledge and foundational skills for veterinary assistants and laboratory animal caretakers. The goal is to ready students for careers as veterinary assistants, technologists, or technicians. The program offers a thorough grounding in veterinary assistant skills and provides training opportunities for those currently working in the field but not yet certified. Upon successful program completion, students will have an opportunity to take the Certified Veterinary Assistant certification exam.
Program Length: 750 Clock Hours (combination of lecture/skills labs)
