Eagle Relief Fund is a monetary aid that students experiencing unexpected financial hardship may apply for. This request will be reviewed by a committee that examines the need and availability of funds. This fund can only be awarded once a year (based off the date of award) to a maximum of $250.
Students who have been approved will complete a case plan with the Case Manager in order to develop financial independence.
Minimum Qualifications for Eagle Relief:
- Minimum Cumulative TSC 2.0 GPA
- Taking at least 9 credit hours in the semester you are applying for relief in
- Be in good standing with the Code of Conduct
- Providing supporting documentation. This must be a past due bill with your name, due date, and amount due on it. If the amount is significantly over what the ERF is able to provide ($250.00 max), please include documentation as to how the remainder will be paid and/or how the maximum award will assist. For example, if this assistance would prevent a utility shutoff, you would need to provide documentation showing that the funds would help keep your services active.
*Please note that meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee the committee will approve your application.
Decisions will be reached based on the following criteria:
- Meeting the minimum qualifications.
- The availability of funds.
- The degree to which the unexpected financial hardship is affecting the student's ability to stay enrolled at TSC.
- The ability of the student to articulate a long-term, sustainable financial plan with the funds.
- The amount of Financial Aid that has been awarded in the semester in which you are seeking the relief.
