Maintaining a Safe and Secure Campus
TSC Police Department
The Tallahassee State College Police Department (TSCPD) is comprised of sworn law enforcement officers, non-sworn public safety officers, public safety communications officers, emergency management personnel, and administrative staff.
TSCPD patrols 85 buildings across TSC’s seven campus locations in three counties. To accomplish its mission of ensuring a safe and secure campus, all TSCPD members receive continuous training, and safety training programs are offered to the entire campus throughout the year.
TSCPD is located on the second floor of the Centre Building (# 9), centrally located on the main campus across from the Library and the Student Union.
Permitless weapon and concealed carry is not allowed on campus

Parking on Campus
A copy of the TSC Parking and Traffic Regulations can be reviewed here: TSC Parking Handbook. All students, faculty, and staff are responsible for knowing and abiding by these rules and regulations.
Quick Tips:
- All parking at TSC is head-in only
- TSC students are not allowed to park on Lively's campus
- After 5:30 p.m., all lots are open for parking
- There is no parking on grass, walkways, or loading zones

Students
Parking on the grass, medians, or sidewalks is not allowed. Students must park only in designated parking spaces.
Bicycle racks are available near most buildings on campus.
Guests
In addition to the open student lots, guests are welcome to park in front of the Hinson Administration (AD) building for a maximum of two hours. Parking passes must be placed on the car's front dash. Passes can be obtained at the Information Desk in the AD lobby.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff have access to the gated lots in front of the Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC), the Technology and Professional Programs (TPP) building, and the Intramural Fields. Gates can be accessed by swiping a TSC employee ID card or purchasing a gate clicker. To get an ID, contact TSCPD or visit the Center Building.
Parking Tickets
Tickets will be issued for improper parking on campus, including but not limited to:
- Back-in parking
- Parking in an access lane
- Blocking access to spaces, lots, facilities, or streets
- Parking in a loading zone, on grass, landscaping, or sidewalks
- Parking in a no-parking zone or non-designated parking area
- Parking in a fire lane, in a reserved area, in a disabled space without a proper permit, or parking in a bus loading zone
The fine for a TSC-cited parking violation (other than a disabled parking violation) is $50. The fine for a TSC-cited disabled parking violation is $100.
Fines can be paid at the TSC Cashier’s Office (second floor of the Student Union) by cash, check, or money order payable to "Tallahassee State College".
TSC may withhold the transcript and/or diploma of any student until all fines are paid in full.
