Tallahassee State College Fine Art Gallery to Present Finding Joy by Linda Pelc

January 7, 2026

The Tallahassee State College Fine Art Gallery is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition, Finding Joy by Linda Pelc. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

For the past 15 years, Pelc has taught Experimental Watercolor at the Tallahassee Senior Center. A former high school art teacher, she works in several media but focuses her personal practice on exploring the complexities of watercolor. In her senior center class, Pelc challenges students to investigate creative ways of interacting with the medium, working side by side to develop new techniques for applying paint to surfaces.

Pelc’s subject matter is drawn from her travels, personal interactions with others, and her interest in bright, shiny objects. Her finished works range from realistic to abstract and non-objective.

The exhibition will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m., through February 12. Admission to the gallery and parking on TSC’s campus is free.
