Tallahassee State College Showcases Student Research and Innovation at 7th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium

March 30, 2026

Tallahassee State College (TSC) will host its seventh annual Undergraduate Research Symposium (URS) on Wednesday, April 1, highlighting the outstanding academic and creative accomplishments of students across a wide range of disciplines.

The symposium serves as a stage for student innovation, where participants present original research and creative projects spanning fields such as science, technology, humanities, and the arts. The event reflects TSC’s commitment to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

“Undergraduate research is an impactful practice. It has been consistently correlated with both academic and workplace success for student participants, and that’s why TSC has invested in it,” said Dr. Daniel Beugnet, Professor and Chair of the Undergraduate Research Program. “We’re so proud of the accomplishments of our student researchers, and so grateful for the support of the faculty research mentors who support them.”

An interdisciplinary panel of judges will evaluate each presentation, with top submissions receiving special recognition and cash prizes in honor of their exceptional work.

The URS is made possible through the generous support of the TSC Foundation.
